Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 9, 2026
Wild Wonder provides short educational nature and science content for children to explore with a parent, guardian, or educator. This policy explains the information we process when you visit Wild Wonder or use an optional account.
Information we collect
Google sign-in information
If you choose Continue with Google, we request only the OpenID, profile, and email scopes. Google provides your stable Google account identifier, email address, email-verification status, display name, and profile picture. We do not receive your Google password, contacts, files, calendar, or email content.
Account and session information
We store your account record, linked sign-in provider, and a hashed version of an opaque session token. Short-lived OAuth transaction data is used to complete sign-in securely and prevent replay or login forgery. Future optional family features may store parent-created explorer profiles and learning progress; Wild Wonder does not ask a child to create or authenticate an account.
Usage and device information
In production, Google Analytics may receive information such as pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, browser/device details, and interaction events. Our servers and infrastructure may also process IP addresses, request metadata, timestamps, and diagnostic logs for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
Cookies and local storage
We use secure cookies for authentication, OAuth safety, and language preference. Browser local storage keeps choices such as language, dismissed notices, explorer progress, and map selections on that device. You can clear these through your browser settings, but removing authentication cookies signs you out.
How we use information
- Authenticate you and maintain your optional account.
- Provide, personalize, and improve Wild Wonder.
- Protect accounts, prevent fraud, and troubleshoot failures.
- Understand aggregate site usage and service performance.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Wild Wonder's use of information received from Google APIs is limited to providing and securing sign-in and account functionality. We do not sell Google user data, use it for targeted advertising, or transfer it to data brokers.
When information is shared
We share information only with service providers that help operate the service—for example, hosting and infrastructure providers, Google for authentication and analytics, and Bunny.net for media delivery—or when required by law, necessary to protect users and the service, or part of a business transfer. Providers may process information only for their contracted services and under their own applicable policies.
Retention and deletion
We retain account information while the account is active and as reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and service operation. Expired OAuth transactions and sessions are no longer accepted. You may request account and associated personal-data deletion by emailing dovanhanh12b@gmail.com. We may retain limited records when required by law or necessary to prevent abuse.
Children's privacy
Wild Wonder is designed for children to use with an adult, but accounts are parent- or guardian-owned. We do not knowingly invite children to submit personal information or independently create accounts. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate adult authorization, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
Security and your choices
We use technical and organizational safeguards such as encrypted transport, HTTP-only cookies, hashed session tokens, short-lived OAuth transactions, and access controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. You can sign out at any time, revoke Wild Wonder in your Google Account permissions, clear browser storage, or request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Wild Wonder changes. The date above will identify the latest version. Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate way. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to dovanhanh12b@gmail.com.
