How can water float in the sky?
arm, moist air rises and cools. Some invisible water vapor then gathers around tiny specks of dust, becoming droplets or ice crystals so small that moving air can keep them aloft.

Puffy clouds often grow taller when warm air is rising. Thin, wispy clouds high in the sky are usually made mostly of ice crystals.
